The Crittenden Co Jail is a low/medium-security detention center located at 208 W Carlisle St Marion, KY which is operated locally by the Crittenden County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Crittenden County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Marion Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records for Kentucky here.

The Detention Center provides alternatives for those who have been sentenced to jail but who have jobs. Listed below are two ways that the courts could proceed with sentencing. First is the work release program where a person is allowed out of jail to go to work but has to report back to the detention facility after work is over. Participation in this program requires the inmate to pay for their housing at a rate of $32 per day a week in advance before they can be released to work.

Second is weekend sentencing where a person is sentenced to a certain number of days in jail, but in order to keep their job, they are only incarcerated for 48 hours over the weekends until the sentence is complete. This program also requires the inmate to pay for their housing at a rate of $32 per day to be paid before they are booked every weekend.

The property must be brought in or mailed within 14 days of arriving at the facility Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4 pm

Items that can be brought in or mailed in
