Located at 4370 Smiley Road in North Las Vegas, NV, FMWCC carefully assigns inmates based on their custody level, considering factors like criminal history. FMWCC offers diverse educational and vocational programs aimed at equipping offenders for successful reintegration into society and reducing recidivism. Through these initiatives, inmates gain skills and confidence, fostering personal growth and resilience.

The FMWCC in Las Vegas, initially operated by the Corrections Corporation of America (CCA, now CoreCivic), opened in September 1997 under the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDC). In October 2004, NDC assumed control of the institution. Currently staffed with 171 members, the center has a total capacity of 950.

Offering a variety of programs for inmates, including anger management, parenting classes, employment skills, substance abuse treatment, and victim impact, Florence McClure Women's Correctional Center focuses on rehabilitation and skill development. The center provides intensive substance abuse treatment through the STARS/New Light program, which aims to help participants avoid substance abuse, restructure their thinking, regulate emotions, and develop social skills. Additionally, the Clark County School District offers academic and vocational activities leading to an Adult High School Diploma or equivalent.

The Re-Entry Program assists participants with essential life skills, employment readiness, and behavioral modifications to facilitate their successful reintegration into society. The Pups on Parole initiative, in collaboration with the Heaven Can Wait Animal Society, enables inmates to train rescue dogs for adoption, fostering responsibility and valuable skills. Moreover, the New Path Cosmetology Class aims to teach and train approved inmates in the art and sciences of the cosmetology industry, offering a pathway to mastery and potential employment upon release.

Overall, Florence McClure Women's Correctional Center emphasizes rehabilitation and reintegration through comprehensive programs and vocational training opportunities, striving to equip inmates with the skills and support necessary for successful community reentry.
