The HCDC is a low/medium-security detention center located at 110 Public Safety Dr Grand Island, NE which is operated locally by the Hall County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Hall County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Grand Island Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records for Nebraska here.

The Hall County Corrections house detainees from surrounding counties and contractually from Homeland Security and ICE holds. The facility is medium security for both adult males and females. Items sold through commissary include hygiene products, writing materials} and postage, entertainment items, clothing, snack food, and telephone calling cards.

Inmates place their orders for Commissary by filling out and signing} an order form listing all the items available and the prices (which includes sales tax where applicable). The inmate’s signature is his/her authorization to deduct the amount from his/her account.

Written notification will be given in case of change in days.

When the commissary is distributed to the cells, each inmate is required to} check the order and sign the receipt in front of the officer. No refunds will be issued after this time. Indigent commissary distribution is on Tuesdays only.
