The Lawrence County OH Jail is a detention center located at 115 South 5th St Ironton, OH which is operated locally by the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Lawrence County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Ironton Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. 3 white tee shirts
3 white underwear (and 2 white bras with no underwires for female inmates)
2 sets cream or white thermal underwear
3 pair white socks
5 photographs (Polaroid pictures not accepted)
3 paperback books or magazines (no pornographic content)
Personal items may be dropped off Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 9:00 am and 7:00 pm and on Thursday during visitation hours only.
