The Warren Co Jail is a low/medium-security detention center located at 920 Kentucky St Bowling Green, KY which is operated locally by the Warren Regional Authority and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates have been here for less than five years. Warren Co Jail accepts inmates from the Warren County Sheriff's arrests and surrounding towns, Bowling Green Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records for Kentucky here.

Mail - Drawings, signs, symbols, etc, are not permitted on outgoing envelopes. All letters or parcel must bear the proper postage, the inmates's name, and a return address. Incoming mail without the sender's name and the return address will be refused. No initials or nicknames for the sender. Laminated mail will not be accepted. An inmate who has proven to be indigent will be provided with two envelopes, ten sheets of paper, two postage stamps, and one pencil once a week. Letters from attorneys, courts, or other public officials will not be read by detention deputies. All mail will be inspected by a detention deputy for contraband or anything which affects the safety and security of the jail. Legal mail will be inspected for contraband in the presence of the receiving inmate.

Telephone - Newly admitted inmates shall be permitted a reasonable number collect calls or collect long-distance calls to an attorney or to a family member within a reasonable time after booking, or as time permits until one call has been completed. Calls attempting three-way may be disconnected. Each inmate shall be permitted to complete at least one collect telephone call each week. Calls may be monitored/recorded at any time.

Inmate Accounts - To add money to an inmate’s account, you may bring in cash to the front office during normal business hours, send a money order or certified check in the mail addressed to the inmate, or use the Touch Pay kiosk in the main lobby during normal business hours. (We do not accept personal checks.)

Money Orders - Any money order received for an inmate must be made payable to the inmate and also have the purchaser's information. This is at the request of our bank. They will not accept an incomplete money order. The money order will be returned to sender if not filled out correctly.

Fees - There will be a $70.00 processing fee and a $30.00 Daily housing fee for county inmates. Upon release inmates will be given a letter regarding any refund due or how to set up a payment plan for fees due.

Medical and Mental Health - Inmates are entitled to health care comparable to that available in the community. Medical care will be delivered by a licensed physician or nurse selected by the Jailer. Inmates will request medical care by completing a Medical Request Form. Emergency medical, dental, and psychiatric care shall be available to inmates.

Warren County KY Regional Jail - Visitation

Main Jail Visitation: Visitation will be on Wednesday and Saturday by appointment only.

Call 270-843-4606 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:45 p.m.

Monday through Friday, unless the front office is closed, to schedule an appointment. Inmates should notify family and friends of this.
