I contacted Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center and they told me they use Ally phone service for inmate calls. I Googled Ally and got NCIC and inmate aid. What do I need to do?

Our service is not a replacement for NCIC, we make using them less expensive by getting you a number that is in a better rate category. The phone service at the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center is set up through bid process. NCIC has the (only contract for all inmate outbound calling and to tape record the calls. Therefore, you have to use them to receive calls. The choice is whether you pay NCIC for a long distance call or a local call. Here is how it works... We get you a local line matching the rate center of Lake Charles, LA. Your inmate dials this local number and it will ring on your current phone. You will need to register the local number with NCIC (just like you would your long distance number without our service) who will charge you only for the local call. InmateAid takes care of the long distance portion of the call which comes to about 6.6 cents per minute. In general, their price for an intra and interstate long distance call ranges from $5-15 per call. With the local number, they usually charge less than $2.00 per call - flat rate. The difference in two call prices is why people use the service. SEND US YOUR NUMBER AND THE FACILITY NAME - WE WILL GIVE YOU AN HONEST ESTIMATE BEFORE YOU SIGN-UP
