The phone service at a particular correctional center is set up through bid process. In this case, Securus has the contract for all inmate outbound calling and to tape record the calls - essentially a monopoly. Therefore, you have to use them to receive any calls. The choice is whether you pay Securus for a long distance call (to your number) or a to a number that we get you. Securus has a rate calculator on their website so that you can get exact prices of the calls.  What is the facility you wish to set up phone service for and what is your telephone number? We will give you an honest estimate of whether or not we can save you money. In general, their price for a Securus call ranges from $0.50-$15 per call. The difference in two call prices is why people use the service, the savings from InmateAid usually pays for itself in 3-6 calls.
