My friend is at the RGC Jackson Mi he has been there one week today. How long before he can call/write me? we made plans on him calling as soon as he could.

Inmates can get letter writing materials almost immediately upon incarceration. Writing loved ones is encouraged by the institutions and even provide the postage to indigent inmates.
