What type of jail is the Western Region Detention Facility - GEO, is it like a county or state jail? I tried looking for more info all I found was that its clients are us Marshal's.

The facility is similar to a "federal" Metropolitan Detention Center in that it is a tower prison you'd find in NYC, Chicago or LA, and not similar to either a county jail or state prison. Therefore the security is very tight and the inmate movement is limited. There are no outdoor recreation opportunities and the vocational training is limited. But, GEO is a super-professional operator with well-trained staff and decent meal prep.
