Operational activities at the Ouachita River Unit encompass agriculture initiatives focusing on cow/calf and forage production, hay operations, and garden operations. Other programs and services include Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)/Narcotics Anonymous (NA) Programs, Central Male Intake, Construction, Dog Kennel Operations, the Faith-Based Principles and Applications for Life (PAL) Program, GED Program in partnership with the Central Arkansas Baptist Bible Institute, Hobby Craft, Inmate Council, Special Needs Unit, Reduction of Sexual Victimization Program (RSVP), Regional Maintenance, Residential Program Unit – Habilitation, Think Legacy Program, Reentry Program, and the Workforce Alliance for Growth in the Economy (WAGE) Program. These initiatives aim to support inmate rehabilitation, education, and successful reintegration into society.
