Located at 2105 N Citrus Rd in Goodyear, AZ, ADCRR Perryville-Piestewa carefully assigns inmates based on their custody level, considering factors like criminal history. ADCRR Perryville-Piestewa offers diverse educational and vocational programs aimed at equipping offenders for successful reintegration into society and reducing recidivism. Through these initiatives, inmates gain skills and confidence, fostering personal growth and resilience.

The ADCRR-Perryville-Piestewa operates as a contemporary, minimum-security state prison facility nestled within the larger Perryville complex, which comprises eight inner prison compounds under Arizona's jurisdiction. Exclusively designated for female inmates, the Perryville complex accommodates up to 4,401 individuals across its four open units—San Carlos, Lumley, Santa Cruz, and Santa Rosa—providing a spectrum of custodial care from minimum to close custody.

Work programs are essential components of daily operations at Perryville-Piestewa, adhering to Arizona law, which mandates that all able-bodied inmates contribute through labor. Inmates typically receive compensation ranging from 10 to 50 cents per hour for their work, which encompasses diverse roles such as kitchen duties, groundskeeping, maintenance tasks, clerical support, and recreational assistance.

Under specialized contracts with external entities facilitated by Arizona Correctional Industries, select inmates have opportunities to earn wages surpassing the standard rates. These programs operate across various units within the complex and include assignments such as working at Hickman’s Egg ranch, participating in food service and maintenance crews, engaging in plumbing, library, painting, and maintenance roles, as well as contributing to special projects like the Special Olympics and ACI Televerde.

Moreover, Perryville-Piestewa prioritizes educational programs to support inmates' personal and professional growth. All inmates have access to Adult Basic Education (ABE) and GED programs, with enrollment in the ABE Literacy Program mandated for those below the 8th-grade proficiency level. Progression beyond this level opens doors to higher-paying job opportunities.

Qualifying inmates also have access to vocational education programs offered in partnership with Rio Salado Community College. These programs cover a wide array of vocational classes, including computer courses, equipping inmates with valuable skills essential for successful reintegration into society upon release.
