Originally established in 1985 through an agreement with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the facility underwent closure in 2017 following a decision to phase out contracts with private prisons. However, it reopened in 2019 under new agreements with the United States Marshals Service and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, providing a total of 1,504 beds for detainees.   • All visitors it is recommended that you arrive early to avoid delay in processing.
  • Visits are a minimum of 1 hour.
  • Times are subject to change to change upon the approval of the on-duty Shift Supervisor, based on the needs of the facility.
  • Under no circumstances may visitors give or ask for property or money to be given to a detainee or inmate.
  • There are only 4 visitors allowed per visitation. Minors must remain under the direct supervision of an adult visitor so as not to disturb other visitors, and excessively disruptive conduct by minors may result in the termination of visit.
