Women in prison are often the primary or sole caregivers of children before incarceration. For offenders who will give birth during their incarceration, there are two programs offered to assist these mothers before, during, and after childbirth; these include Mothers and Infants Together (MINT) and the Residential Parenting Program (RPP). The MINT Program is a community residential program that aims to assist offenders during the last two months of pregnancy. Eligible inmates are transferred to a Residential Reentry Center and remain there for up to three months after birth to bond with their children before returning to the institution to complete their sentence. Inmates may be permitted to stay longer. The Program Statement, Female Offender Manual, is the agency's primary policy addressing the management of incarcerated women. The agency also issued an Operations Memorandum requiring all female sites to provide five types of feminine hygiene products to inmates free of charge.

The facility offers vocational training programs covering various building trades such as Carpentry, Drywall, Electrical, HVAC, Masonry, Plumbing, and Welding, alongside Culinary Arts, Graphic Arts, and Microsoft Office.

Health services include episodic visits for medical or dental symptoms, chronic care management, routine dental care, emergency medical services, preventive care, restorative care, and end-of-life care. There is a $2.00 co-pay for non-emergency medical visits, and outside emergency medical care is available when necessary.

While the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) is not available at FCI Hazelton SFF, inmates can participate in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), the Non-Residential Drug Abuse Treatment Program (NR-DAP), and the Drug Education Class.

Religious services and programs accommodate Christian, Jewish, and Muslim inmates, with volunteers assisting in organizing services for other religious groups. Inmates are allowed to wear religious items, and the facility observes various holy days while accommodating dietary restrictions for different faiths.

In terms of employment, inmates at FCI Hazelton SFF work in positions involving food service, carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, landscaping, painting, plumbing, utilities, and general maintenance.

Education programs include the BOP Inmate Literacy Program for inmates without a high school diploma or GED, and the ESL (English as a Second Language) Inmate Program for non-English speakers.

Overall, FCI Hazelton SFF aims to provide comprehensive services and programs to meet the needs of its female inmate population, encompassing healthcare, vocational training, substance abuse treatment, religious accommodations, employment opportunities, and educational development.
