The Federal Correctional Institution, Oxford (FCI Oxford) is a low-security federal prison for male inmates located in Adams County, central Wisconsin, approximately 60 miles north of Madison, the state capital. Reclassified from medium-security to low-security in June 2023 by BOP Director Collette Peters, it has been operational since 1973, with the adjacent satellite prison camp opening in 1985. Inmates at FCI Oxford are housed in one-person and two-person cells across four units, adjacent is a minimum-security satellite camp where male inmates live in a dormitory setting with rows of bunk beds and a shared bathroom..

Health services at FCI Oxford encompass medical and dental sick calls, emergency services, medications, physical examinations, health promotion, disease prevention, and eyeglasses provision. While emergency care is available round the clock, routine care necessitates the submission of a triage form.

The facility employs three psychologists to provide counseling and mental health services, with a visiting psychiatrist offering additional support. Various voluntary groups, including those focusing on self-image, positive mental attitude (PMA), and anger management, are available for inmates seeking personal development. In addition, unit staff conduct formal group counseling activities within the housing units.

FCI Oxford houses a Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP), while the camp offers a Drug Abuse Education course and a Non-Residential Drug Abuse Treatment Program (NR-DAP).

Educational opportunities include literacy, GED, and English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) programs, with incentives provided to incentivize participation. Adult Continuing Education (ACE) and parenting classes are also available, along with high school diplomas and post-secondary programs through paid correspondence.

Vocational training offerings at FCI Oxford include Certified Production Technician and Culinary Arts. The main facility offers apprenticeships in Carpentry, Culinary Arts, and Dental Assistant, while the camp provides opportunities in maintenance repair, painting, stationary engineering, wastewater treatment, and welding.

The TRULINCS Electronic Law Library, located in the Education Department, offers legal materials for inmates' research and document preparation. The resource/leisure library provides a wide range of reading materials, magazines, and newspapers.

UNICOR inmate release preparation aims to equip offenders with marketable job skills, producing electronics and plastics. Inmates are allowed monthly spending up to $360.00 on regular purchases and $300.00 per quarter on special-purpose items, excluding telephone credits, postage stamps, and over-the-counter medications.
