Located at 500 Bay Bottom Rd in Pahokee, FL, Sago Palm REC carefully assigns inmates based on their custody level, considering factors like criminal history. Sago Palm REC offers diverse educational and vocational programs aimed at equipping offenders for successful reintegration into society and reducing recidivism. Through these initiatives, inmates gain skills and confidence, fostering personal growth and resilience.

The Sago Palm Re-entry Center, affiliated with the Okeechobee Correctional Institution and designed for adult males, has a capacity to accommodate 384 individuals. The center offers a variety of programs and services aimed at preparing inmates for successful reintegration into society upon their release.

Academic programs provided at the center include Adult Basic Education, General Education Development (GED) preparation, Mandatory Literacy courses, Peer Tutor Training, and Pre-GED classes. These programs are designed to enhance participants' educational skills and improve their academic qualifications.

Vocational training opportunities are also available, covering fields such as Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Heavy Equipment operation, Hospitality (through Palm Beach State College's 2nd Change Program), and Plumbing. These vocational programs equip inmates with practical skills and certifications that enhance their employability prospects post-release.

Substance abuse programs at the center include both Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient treatment options, providing support and assistance to individuals struggling with addiction issues.

Chaplaincy services offered encompass Keryx Weekends and Multi-Faith Worship Services, catering to inmates' spiritual needs and providing opportunities for religious and spiritual growth.

Institutional betterment programs focus on personal development and rehabilitation, including a 100 Hour Transition Program, various sports activities (both active and passive), Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings, Addiction Prevention initiatives, Anger & Stress Management courses, programs for Children of Inmates, Community Model initiatives, Compass 100 programming, Faith & Character Based programs, Family and Parenting workshops, Job Readiness training, Law Clerk Training/Certification, Law Library access, Library Programs, Life Skills training, New Horizon Service Dog Program, Peer to Peer Motivational Dorm Program, Toastmasters Gavel Club, and Victim Impact sessions. These programs aim to foster positive behavioral change, develop life skills, promote personal growth, and facilitate successful reintegration into society.

Through these comprehensive programs and services, the Sago Palm Re-entry Center strives to empower individuals to overcome challenges, develop essential skills, and build a foundation for a positive and productive future beyond incarceration.
