Located at 1070 County Farm Rd in Zebulon, GA, West Central carefully assigns inmates based on their custody level, considering factors like criminal history. West Central offers diverse educational and vocational programs aimed at equipping offenders for successful reintegration into society and reducing recidivism. Through these initiatives, inmates gain skills and confidence, fostering personal growth and resilience.

West Central Center, originally constructed in 1990, underwent several transformations before assuming its current role in July 2012. Originally built as a male Probation Detention Center, it was re-purposed in 1996 as a male medium-security prison, then as a female Probation Detention Center in 2002, and again as a female Pre-Release Center in 2008. Since 2012, it has served as an integrated treatment facility catering to female probation violators with co-occurring conditions and female inmates who support the facility's work mission.

In terms of housing, West Central Center features four open dormitories equipped with bunk beds, accommodating 46 individuals in each dormitory. Additionally, there are five isolation/segregation cells to address specific needs.

The facility offers various work details, including assignments to State Offices Tift Campus, the Offender Administration Unit, and cities such as Zebulon, Concord, and Molena.

Programs at West Central Center focus on rehabilitation and holistic development. Academic offerings include General Education Diploma (GED) programs, while counseling services encompass RSAT (SPECTRUM), Re-Entry programs, and Mental Health Services. Recreation activities cater to general recreation needs, and religious activities include worship services, Bible study sessions, and parenting classes. Vocational and career development opportunities are also available, with programs in maintenance, food preparation, laundry services, groundskeeping, and pending opportunities in customer service.

Inmate Locator

West Central maintains a database of current inmates and their locations within the system. To locate an inmate, begin by using the DOC locator tool, which requires entering the first three letters of the inmate's first and last name, allowing for variations in spelling.

If unable to locate the desired information through free resources, users may opt to use the Arrest Record Search, which requires payment. While this option incurs a small fee, it provides access to the most up-to-date data available.
