It's here to help you get a handle on how things work at Humboldt County Correctional Facility (HCCF) so you can stay connected and support your loved one behind bars.
The Humboldt Co Jail is a detention center located at 826 4th St Eureka, CA which is operated locally by the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Humboldt County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Eureka Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.
New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records for California here.
The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office offers an exceptional approach to rehabilitation by providing vocational, educational, and treatment based programs to people currently incarcerated. The goal of providing programs to this population is to reduce the rate of recidivism and to support the currently incarcerated in their efforts to successfully reintegrate back into the community.
Some of the programs offered include College of the Redwoods course, substance abuse education, AA/NA groups, motivational enhancement therapy, jail ministry services, Native American talking circles, resume building classes and much more. In addition to these programs, the currently incarcerated are also offered opportunities to develop case plans to assist them in reaching their goals of successful reintegration.

There is no need to push the elevator's buttons except to get the operator's attention or in case of an emergency. At the end of the visiting session, please leave the visiting room when asked. Failing to do so may delay the next visiting session.

No one under 18 years of age will be allowed to visit unless accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or provides proof of emancipation. Only one visitor is allowed at a time.
