The Las Vegas Community Corrections Center in Las Vegas, NV, focuses on successful offender reintegration into society, crucial for effective crime control. With high recidivism rates, evidence-based practices tailor programs for medium to high-risk individuals, reducing repeat offenses. Reentry and Treatment Centers offer structured environments and various programs aiding rehabilitation and community reconnection efforts. Collaborating with the Clark Sheriff's Department, the Nevada Department of Corrections, and sometimes the Federal Bureau of Prisons, comprehensive reentry services prioritize education, substance abuse treatment, and workforce development. Facilities assist officers in monitoring compliance and serve as alternatives to pretrial detention, considering cost-effectiveness and reducing overcrowding. Emphasizing individual needs, family support, and community integration, the center aims for holistic support, empowering successful reintegration.

The Las Vegas Community Corrections Center provides transitional services in a supervised environment to assist offenders in becoming employed, law-abiding citizens in their respective communities. Each offender is paired with an assigned case manager who is responsible for assisting the offender with program needs while assigned to the Center. Individualized program plans are developed for each offender, which stresses obtaining permanent, full-time employment and re-establishing community and family ties.

Assignments to the 124-bed Center are primarily made through a contract with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). Offenders may be pre-release residents actively serving a federal prison sentence or public law residents currently on federal supervision status. Other referral sources include U.S. Probation and Pre-Trial Office (USPO), the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC), and self-pay residents. Self-pay residents may participate in the program as an alternative to state and/or county incarceration. Newly placed offenders are subject to a highly structured environment. A tiered, STEP Program exists to progressively increase offenders’ community interaction. Security measures include 24-hour custodial supervision and frequent census checks. Cameras automatically record and store up to two weeks' worth of data. UA rooms are voice-recorded. Offenders are required to electronically sign in and out of the facility for enhanced accountability.
