LCCC is for County Jail offenders sentenced up to twenty four months.
All prisons and jails have Security or Custody levels depending on the inmate’s classification, sentence, and criminal history. Please review the rules and regulations for County - medium facility.

The LCCC is a low/medium-security detention center located at 53 3rd Ave Bridge PO Box 608 Cedar Rapids, IA which is operated locally by the Linn County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Linn County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Cedar Rapids Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.
New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. The Linn County Correctional Center serves as the sole jail facility in Linn County, accommodating a capacity of 401 beds. It houses individuals awaiting trial, serving sentences for state, county, and municipal offenses, as well as overflow inmates from other jurisdictions and federal prisoners awaiting trial.
Inmates and other jurisdictions housing inmates pay daily fees to Linn County, with rates varying for different entities. The Correctional Center Division is also responsible for prisoner transportation and courthouse security. Inmate's Rights contains all of the Rules and Regulations of the facility.
Visitors are permitted to bring specific unopened clothing items for garnished inmates, while money can be deposited into inmates' accounts via cash or money order. Inmates are limited to a maximum of $100 in their accounts. Individuals seeking to block their phone numbers from receiving calls from inmates must provide specific documentation at the Correctional Center. The removal of blocks is handled through the phone provider. Payment for room and board can be made in full or through a realistic monthly payment plan arranged with the Financial Division.

If you need to get in touch with a detainee to leave an urgent message, you must call (319) 892-6300 and leave the detainee’s full name, alien registration number and your name and telephone number where you can be reached. The detainee will be given your message.

Inmates in Special Status can have visitors from 8-9 am daily (including weekends and holidays).
Inmates are allowed (2) half hour visits per week (Sunday-Saturday).
