The new state-of-the-art Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, Community Custody Program, and the Loudoun County Magistrate’s Office are housed within the same complex, located near the Leesburg airport, employing both direct and indirect methods of inmate supervision. This multifaceted facility accommodates inmates of maximum, medium, and minimum security levels, charged with crimes ranging from multiple murders to public drunkenness. It caters to Federal, State, County, and local municipality inmates, with some individuals staying for up to three years before transfer to the State Department of Corrections, often due to pending appeals. In accordance with state code, all inmates are charged a dollar-a-day fee to offset the costs of their incarceration. Upon entry, inmates undergo a standard 48-72 hours intake period for TB/medical clearance before classification into the General Population. Those showing signs of illness after this period are transferred to a medical observation unit for further 10-day monitoring. Inmates are checked daily for symptoms and, if necessary, quarantined in negative airflow cells, albeit retaining privileges akin to the general population, including access to tablets, telephones, television, and non-contact visitation.

All inmates have access to inmate tablets for communication and receive a free 5-minute phone call weekly, starting each Monday. Additionally, mental health counseling and psychiatric visits are available to all inmates, ensuring comprehensive support and care within the facility.
