ACC is a minimum-security state prison in Missouri, accommodating up to 1,500 adult male inmates. Notably, it's the sole male correctional facility in the state offering the InnerChange Freedom Initiative (IFI) program by the Prison Fellowship Ministries. IFI, typically initiated in an inmate's final years of sentence, focuses on fostering spiritual and moral development, instilling values, and preparing individuals for post-prison life. In addition to IFI, inmates at Algoa Correctional can access educational opportunities to obtain a GED and adult basic education, aiding in their reintegration into society upon release.
Moreover, Algoa Correctional provides avenues for inmates to purchase debit minutes from the institution's canteen, facilitating direct telephone dialing for communication purposes. These services contribute to maintaining connections with loved ones and support networks outside of the prison environment, enhancing inmates' overall well-being and prospects for successful reentry into the community.
ADD maintains a database of current inmates and their locations within the system. To locate an inmate, begin by using the DOC locator tool, which requires entering the first three letters of the inmate's first and last name, allowing for variations in spelling.
If unable to locate the desired information through free resources, users may opt to use the Arrest Record Search, which requires payment. While this option incurs a small fee, it provides access to the most up-to-date data available.
