The Muhlenberg Co Jail is a low/medium-security detention center located at 108 Court Row Greenville, KY which is operated locally by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Muhlenberg County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Greenville Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. All programs at the Muhlenberg County Detention Center are structured to create an environment for positive change in the offender's life, so they can better serve the community as productive citizens when released.

GED - Classes to prepare and improve individuals for final testing to obtain their GED certificate.
Religious Services - Church services are on Sunday afternoon, Bible study is Wednesday night.
Medical - Southern Health Partners provide 24/7 continuous coverage.
Mental Health - Pennyroyal Mental Health.
Guidance in Recovery Service - Drug and Alcohol Counselling
Anger Management Classes - The offered program is taught from a curriculum called Coping With Anger. - DOC Approved
Moral Recognition Therapy Program - - DOC Approved

Commissary is ordered by the inmates on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Commissary is delivered on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Money for the inmate to use to purchase items from the Commissary may be left at the Jail lobby window from 7 am to 3 pm Monday through Saturday.
