The Jean Camp serves as a minimum-custody state prison accommodating approximately 240 adult female inmates in Nevada. It stands as the sole facility within the state designated to house female offenders. Operating under the Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF), inmates at JCC actively engage in firefighting duties during the fire season, contribute to conservation projects, conduct highway clean-up operations for the Department of Transportation, and provide assistance to the local community.

With a team of 18 dedicated staff members, Jean Conservation amp ensures the safety, security, and well-being of its inmate population while fostering an environment conducive to rehabilitation and positive growth. The camp offers a diverse array of programs tailored to meet the unique needs of female offenders. Inmates have the opportunity to enroll in educational classes aimed at obtaining a GED or high school diploma, enhancing their academic qualifications for future endeavors.

In addition to academic pursuits, JCC provides inmates with access to horticulture classes, parenting workshops, and various self-help programs. Entry and departure times shall be enforced with exceptions for emergency departures or pre-approved early departures obtained by the Facility Manager.

Legal Visitation is by appointment only and can be scheduled with the camp manager or caseworker.
