The PCCF is a low/medium-security detention center located at 26 Long Pond Rd Plymouth, MA which is operated locally by the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Plymouth County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Plymouth Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records for Massachusetts here.

The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department is dedicated to enhancing public safety through corrections and specialized support services for all criminal justice agencies. This includes maintaining a secure facility for offenders held or sentenced for crimes, as well as preparing them for successful reintegration into society. In partnership with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the department houses detainees from Homeland Security until their cases are adjudicated.

At the PCCF, inmates are provided with a safe, humane, and orderly environment that encourages personal growth. Through various activities, inmates are offered opportunities to develop a work ethic, explore religion, pursue education, and gain insight into the consequences of their actions.

The Sheriff is committed to operating an accredited correctional facility that adheres to nationally recognized standards for local houses of correction, jails, and detention facilities, as well as state and local regulations, while also serving the interests of taxpayers. The department's philosophy prioritizes holding offenders at the lowest appropriate level of security, ensuring public safety while addressing individual needs.

Additionally, the department seeks to protect society from criminal offenders while fostering a professional and rewarding environment for staff members. This dual focus on public safety and staff well-being reflects the department's holistic approach to fulfilling its mission.

If you need information about a detainee who is housed at this facility, you may call 508-830-6200 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. When you call, please have the individual’s biographical information ready, including first, last, and hyphenated names, any aliases he or she may use, date of birth, and country of birth.
