The Yavapai County Eastern Detention Bureau - Camp Verde is a detention center located at 2830 North Commonwealth Drive #105 Camp Verde, AZ which is operated locally by the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Yavapai County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Camp Verde Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. A daily charge of $2.00 for meals is charged in accordance with ARS 31-121.

Items you may purchase from the inmate store include candy, toiletries, writing materials and stamps. These items MUST be obtained through the jail for security reasons. Clothing, footwear, hygiene items and linens are provided by the jail.

If you received PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION while in custody at the Yavapai County Detention facility, BEFORE you are released you will need to ask the Detention Officer to notify Medical Services.

If you are released without your prescription medication, you can call WITHIN 24 HOURS OF RELEASE, to make arrangements to obtain your medication. Call (928) 567-7734 and ask for the infirmary.

No Narcotics or over the counter (OTC) medication will be provided after your release.

Visitation Information

On-site: Inmate visits at the Camp Verde Detention Center will be conducted in a specially constructed building that houses the video monitors and is located adjacent to detention center parking. Visitation times are Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm – 3:30 pm.* Visits must be scheduled at least 1 day in advance or as far as 7 days in advance and can be completed online. There is no charge for on-site video visits. Online: Avoid the drive completely with a very convenient option that permits an online visit by way of a basic internet connection. These visits are available throughout the year from 6AM to 10PM for a cost of only $10 per visit. Please schedule at least one day in advance. It is suggested you log in 15 minutes before your scheduled visit time. After completing the tester, a program which confirms your computer’s ability to handle the video transmission, click “Start Visit,” then “Allow,” and your visit will begin at the scheduled time. ** See the instructions below in red text to ensure your computer is set properly.
