Detention visitation is visually supervised. We request and require the cooperation of every visitor by following the rules of visitation in order to maintain the safety and security of our residents, visitors and staff.

  1. Each resident may receive a 30 minute visit per day from approved immediate family members (parents, grandparents, legal guardians and siblings) listed on the youth's computer record by the assigned PO.
  2. Visitors age 14 and older must present a photo ID.
  3. No child under the age of 14 shall be left unattended in the visitation lobby.
  4. Visitors under the age of 18 may not visit without a parent or legal guardian.
  5. All personal belongings must be left outside of the secure visitation area. Secure lockers are provided at no charge for your temporary use in the detention lobby or you may leave personal items secured in your vehicle. Personal items are considered contraband and include but are not limited to: purses, cell phones, any photo imaging devices or audio recording devices, smoking materials, keys, any food or drinks or any object that presents a breach of security or confidentiality with potential harm to residents, staff or others. Contraband brought into the visitation area will result in early termination of the visit. Visits may be temporarily suspended until the Facility Administrator reviews the problem with the family.
  6. Seating must occur so that view of all persons in the room is unobstructed. You may be asked to re-arrange your chairs by staff to facilitate visual supervision.
  7. Loud or disorderly behavior will not be permitted. Staff may intervene. Re-escalation will cause the visit to be terminated early.
  8. Attorneys, court personnel, advocates and approved clergy with official identification may visit at any time.

You are welcome to speak with the on-duty supervisor at anytime. You may also call the Facility Administrator, Ron Lewis, at 817-838-4610 during business hours Monday through Friday.
