The Oak Creek Youth Correctional Facility is within the jurisdiction of the Oregon Department of Juvenile Justice located at 4400 Lochner Rd SE, Albany, OR.

The facility provides supervision of youth in a safe, secure and humane environment. Services for youth include education, mental health, substance abuse, and health care. Medical and mental health are contracted services. Educational services are funded by the Oregon Department of Education through local school districts.

A typical day in secure detention would involve hygiene, meals, school, structured physical and educational activities, and court appearance as scheduled. The average length of stay in secure state detention is approximately 60 days.

Visitation Information

  • Wednesdays: 5-6:15 p.m.; 6:30-7:45 p.m.
  • Saturdays and Sundays: 9:30-11:30 a.m.; 12-2 p.m.; 2:30-4:30 p.m.

Visitors are required to schedule their visits in advance, with a maximum of 10 days prior to the intended visit date. To arrange a visit, individuals should call 541-791-5900 during business hours, from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If visitors are unable to attend during regular visiting hours, they should contact the youth’s case coordinator or living unit manager to explore alternative options. Youths are permitted one visiting session per week. Due to limited visiting space, the facility aims to ensure all youth have opportunities for visits.
