Visitation Hours

Visiting hours for Carroll Co Jail are subject to change, so it's crucial to confirm them by contacting the facility directly by phone. Please note that visitors will undergo a thorough search before entering the premises, and personal belongings, including cell phones, are strictly prohibited. Individuals under probation, parole, or community corrections supervision must obtain approval from their supervising officer and the superintendent before visiting, although such visits are not typically approved.

General Visitation Information

Visiting Days

  • Sundays 1:00 - 4:00
  • Wednesdays 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
  • Fridays09:30 am - 12:00 pm

All guests are required to pre-register a minimum of forty-eight hours (48 hours) before their visit and present valid identification upon arrival. Failure to provide identification will result in denied entry. Any minors (under 18 years old) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, with appropriate documentation such as a birth certificate or guardianship paperwork. Inmates are allotted two (2) out of three (3) visitation days per week, with each visit lasting half an hour (1/2). Letters will not be accepted at the front window during visitation hours; all correspondence must be sent via the US Postal Service. Cellblock phones will be deactivated throughout the visitation period. Exceptions to these regulations may be granted by the Sheriff or Jail Commander, though no physical contact visits will be allowed.
