The Broward Youth Treatment Center (YTC) offers substance abuse treatment services to males aged 13 to 18 within a non-secure residential commitment program. Specifically tailored to address the unique needs of adolescent boys, the program provides gender-specific programming encompassing a variety of components and services. At BYTC, behavioral health services, psycho-educational groups, anger management, victim awareness, social skills development, moral development, and gang intervention are integral parts of the treatment regimen. The program adopts a trauma-focused, restraint-free environment to deliver individualized mental health and substance abuse services to the youth. The anticipated duration of stay at BYTC varies depending on the youth's progress in completing their personalized treatment plan and goals.

As a Type 2 program, Broward Youth Treatment Center partners with Broward County Schools to provide educational and vocational services. The center offers three vocational training programs with industry-recognized certifications. These include the Barber Program, which equips youth with skills in communication, visual poise, and grooming, along with proficiency in various hair styling techniques. The Culinary Arts program provides comprehensive training in food service operations, including safe food practices, sanitation, inventory management, and customer relations, leading to a food handler's certificate upon completion. Additionally, the Computing for College and Careers program offers fundamental computer applications and touch typing skills essential for success in today's competitive job market.

Operated by contracted provider Youth Opportunity Investments, LLC, BYTC is committed to providing holistic treatment and educational opportunities to support the rehabilitation and future success of its participants.
