The L. Roberts Rivarde Memorial Home is a medium to low-security detention center located at 1550 Gretna Blvd Harvey, LA that is operated locally by the Juvenile Justice Department and holds youths awaiting the determination of punishment for the crimes which they are accused. Most of the adolescents are here for less than two years.
The L. Robert Rivarde Memorial Home serves as the juvenile detention facility for Jefferson Parish, overseen by the Department of Juvenile Services. With a capacity of 52 beds, this facility offers temporary secure custody for pretrial detainees and adjudicated offenders—adolescents found to have committed delinquent acts—committed to the Department of Public Safety and Corrections.
