Internal Visitations are conducted Monday or Fridays from 9:30 am until 3:30 pm with varying time slots. They are 30 minutes in length, recorded and monitored. To schedule a visit go to jailatm.com and follow the prompts. Visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance and you must arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time to be checked in.
External visitations are now available! External visits can be done through your home computer, tablet or smartphone by scheduling with www.jailatm.com. External visits are conducted on Saturdays or Sundays from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm with varying time slots and are also recorded and monitored. Please note: inmates are only allowed one visit per week and there are no visitation time slots available during lunch services at the facility.
Upon transfer to general population of the facility, all inmates, except those sentenced for less than seven days, will be allowed visitation. Visitation will be scheduled on Saturday and Sunday for 30-minute increments. Visits are no contact and shall be conducted through video visitation. The following rules and regulations shall apply to visitation:
• Inmates shall be responsible for notifying all visitors of their visitation schedule.
• Visitors must be 17 or older or accompanied by an adult.
• Visitor(s) shall not have been incarcerated in the Ogemaw County Jail within the last 30 days.
• Visiting shall be restricted to two visitors at a time.
• All visitors must present valid picture I.D.
• Inmates shall instruct their visitor to show up 15 minutes before the visit is to start.
• Visiting privileges may be suspended for security and safety reasons or bad conduct.
• All inmates shall have their living area clean and be fully dressed prior to their visit.
• Visitors shall be attired properly to enter the facility, low cut shirts, short skirts, or any clothing determined to be revealing by the correctional staff shall not be permitted to visit.
• Inmates shall remain seated during their visit.
• Tampering or intentional abuse or misuse of the video visitation equipment shall result in disciplinary action, restitution and immediate termination of visit.
• Inmates shall leave the visiting booth promptly at the end of their visiting period. Failure to leave promptly may result in the loss of future visits.
• Visitation phones shall automatically shut off at the end of 30 minutes.
• If a visitor is denied access to the visiting area for any reason, inmates shall be notified of the visitor’s name and the reason for denial.
• Correctional Staff will not deliver messages or any other form of correspondence of any type.
• Inmates and Visitors shall not expose themselves sexually to one another-this will result in loss of visitation privileges.

All Visitors are subject to search once inside the facility.
The public may visit no more than one time per week, Monday through Saturday at this West Branch MI location. Visitors must sign inat least 15 minutes before their scheduled visits. If you schedule a visit and don't show up or show up late, you will not be allowed to visit the rest of that week, including Saturday. If a visit on Saturday is scheduled, and the visitor does not show up or shows up late, they will not be allowed to visit until the following Saturday. Repeated late arrival or no-show violations may result in longer suspension of visiting privileges. Inmates are allowed no more than one (1) visit per day. Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian, unless they are visiting a parent. Unaccompanied minors (under age 18) visiting a parent must present a copy of their birth certificate. Children must remain with the parent at all times during the visit. All visitors must have acceptable identification. This includes a drivers license with picture identification, military ID, or other verifiable picture ID. Three (3) pieces of non-picture ID may substitute for picture ID.
No mail or messages for inmates will be accepted. Mail must go through the U.S. Mail. Visitors may only visit the inmate they have signed up to visit. Any visitor who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to visit. Inappropriate behavior, including the use of profanity, will not be permitted. No weapons will be permitted. All other items listed in the jail lobby are prohibited. There is a maximum of four (4) visitors per booth, including children, and the door must remain closed.
All visitors must wear appropriate clothing, including shoes and shirts. Restrictions on attire or appearance include: No miniskirts or similar attire; no low-cut or revealing necklines; no attire with obscene or offensive language; and no persons with a bare midriff will be permitted to visit. Visitors cannot bring items into the visiting area including weapons of any kind, purses, handbags, backpacks, diaper bags, food, drink, gum, baby bottles, pictures, books, toys, writing utensils, strollers or carriers, cell phones, cameras, or any other electronic devices.
Violation of the above restrictions may cause the visit to be cancelled or terminated, and visiting privileges may be suspended by the Ogemaw Sheriffs Department. The on-duty supervisor may cancel visits without notice due to circumstances within the jail.
