Inmate Transfer

my inmate will be transferring can he take his property with him?

My family member will be transferring from Ben Hill county jail to the classification and diagnostics prison in Jackson, GA soon. What will he be allowed to take with him? Can he take his Bible and Bible dictionary to Jackson?

Inmates that transfer within the same system, i.e. state prison or federal, all of their property will transfer with them. They might not arrive the same day but they will get all of their personal items that they have accumulated from commissary and incoming mail.
