What is a facility shakedown?

Hi! I was wondering, what "Facility shakedown" is? Is it as the same as a lockdown ?. Thank you !

A facility shakedown is where the inmates are sequestered in an area for hours while the guards go through the facility, cell by cell, room by room, searching for contraband. They will turn beds upside down, they go into the ceiling where there is access, they check the kitchen, bathrooms, chapel... everywhere. After they have finished, the collection of contraband is displayed in some form to show the inmates that they will eventually find everything. If they can tie anything that they found to an inmate, then that inmate will be disciplined.

A lockdown is when all of the inmates are restricted to their bunks for a period of time. A lockdown could be the method of sequestering them during the search but only for areas outside of the living quarters.
