What is the sentence for smugling contraband and weapons into a penal facility?

Hi, my son was in North Central prison in Iowa. He was released on work release and picked up new charges within a few weeks.His charge is bringing contraband,weapons into a correction facility. Is there a mandatory sentence for that or what is he looking at ? Thank you !

We do not know the mandatory minimums for these charges. There charges are very serious - smuggling weapons into a facility is going to cost him big time in our opinion
