Located in Alexandria, LA, ASC operates as a private contractor with various government agency agreements providing state-minimum custody requirements. Programs are offered to all custody levels, including work release residents focused on reentry success. The Alexandra Staging Center, operated under a contract between the LaSalle Economic Development District and The GEO Group, Inc. (GEO), serves as a detention and removal staging facility for the U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE). This facility, located at the Alexandria, Louisiana Airport, was established on August 29, 2013, through a modification of the existing LaSalle Detention Facility contract.

With a capacity of 400 beds, the Staging Center functions as a 72-hour holding facility, providing safekeeping, housing, and medical services to the detained population. The facility, equipped with modern amenities, aims to enhance the efficiency of the ICE removal process while ensuring operational stability at the LaSalle facility.

The Staging Center includes office space for 30 offices, along with accommodations for additional Air Operations Personnel. Its strategic location adjacent to the tarmac facilitates convenient access to aircraft for streamlined transportation processes.
