The Bartow County Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 104 Zena Dr Cartersville, GA which is operated locally by the Bartow County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. The mission of the Bartow County Jail Division is to operate the jail in accordance with all State and Federal laws providing a safe and healthful environment for inmates and staff; providing the inmates with the necessary medical and mental health services, religious services and other educational and drug resistance programs to aid their quality of life. The Jail Division must ensure the protection of the county's citizens by preventing escapes and the introduction of contraband into this facility. This Jail serves not only the Sheriff's Office but all other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. The building is approximately 176 thousand square feet.
