The Comanche County OK Juvenile Detention is a medium to low-security detention center located at 701 SW 17th St Lawton, OK that is operated locally by the Juvenile Justice Department and holds youths awaiting the determination of punishment for the crimes which they are accused. Most of the adolescents are here for less than two years.

Oklahoma Law requires counties to provide for secure juvenile detention of juveniles as needed (10 O.S. 7304-1.3 C2). The state established a plan for Secure Juvenile Detention Centers that provides funding to certain counties. Comanche County is included in that state plan, and as such, receives state funding for operations. Admissions to the Juvenile Detention Center are authorized by various juvenile courts pursuant to the Oklahoma Juvenile Code.
