The Federal Correctional Institution, Seagoville (FCI Seagoville) is a low-security federal prison for male inmates situated near the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, it includes a detention center for male offenders and a satellite prison camp (SCP) for minimum-security inmates. Inmates reside in two, three, and five-person rooms, with those at the detention center housed in two-person cells. Inmates at the camp are housed in dormitories. Opened in 1938, FCI Seagoville initially housed female inmates. During World War II, the prison housed Japanese, German, and Italian families. In 1945 it converted to the male federal prison it is today. The facility is a Sex Offender Management Program (SOMP) institution. FDC Seagoville celebrated its 75th anniversary on October 10, 2015.

Health services at FCI Seagoville encompass sick calls, dental care, emergency medical care, eyeglasses, medications, and physical examinations. Psychological services are available in English and Spanish, offering individual consultation, counseling, and crisis intervention. A Non-Residential Sex Offender Treatment Program (SOTP-NR) is also accessible.

The prison houses a Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP), while the camp does not. Both facilities offer the Drug Education Program and the Non-Residential Drug Abuse Program (NR-DAP). Educational programs include literacy, GED, and ESL courses, with certificates and awards granted for academic achievements. Parenting classes, Adult Continuing Education (ACE), and release preparation sessions are also provided.

Advanced occupational education is offered in various fields at FCI Seagoville, including Auto Mechanics, Computer Graphics and Design, HVAC, and more. Leisure and law libraries are available, with typewriters reserved for legal work in the law library. UNICOR provides inmate release preparation and produces clothing and textiles.

Inmates can spend up to $360.00 per month at the commissary, with increased allowances during the holiday season. Indoor and outdoor facilities cater to recreational activities such as sports, fitness, and hobby crafts. Television viewing rooms are available, and varsity sports teams compete against outside teams.
