Located at 8035 County Rd 231 in Lake Butler, FL, RMC-Work Camp carefully assigns inmates based on their custody level, considering factors like criminal history. RMC-Work Camp offers diverse educational and vocational programs aimed at equipping offenders for successful reintegration into society and reducing recidivism. Through these initiatives, inmates gain skills and confidence, fostering personal growth and resilience.

The RMC-Work Camp is located in Lake Butler, part of the Reception and Medical Center (RMC) Complex. The facility is comprised of two separate buildings, known as the Main unit, and the West unit. The Main unit is considered a level VI facility and the West unit is a level IV facility. This facility is responsible for the medical treatment of low-risk, minimum-security offenders.

Both units offer inmates adult basic education courses and a chance for inmates to earn their GED. Vocational and substance abuse treatment programs offered are scarce, as many of the inmates are just processed through or stay here temporarily. All inmates who are at the institution for initial classification and processing are given a substance abuse assessment where it will then be determined if they require any treatment.

Inmate Locator

RMC-Work Camp maintains a database of current inmates and their locations within the system. To locate an inmate, begin by using the DOC locator tool, which requires entering the first three letters of the inmate's first and last name, allowing for variations in spelling.

If unable to locate the desired information through free resources, users may opt to use the Arrest Record Search, which requires payment. While this option incurs a small fee, it provides access to the most up-to-date data available.

Ask The Inmate

Ask a former inmate questions at no charge. The inmate answering has spent considerable time in the federal prison system, state and county jails, and in a prison that was run by the private prison entity CCA.
