DuQuoin IIP is for State Prison offenders sentenced anywhere from one year to life by the State Court in the county where the charges were filed

Located at 275 Agriland Acres in Du Quoin, IL, DuQuoin IIP carefully assigns inmates based on their custody level, considering factors like criminal history. DuQuoin IIP offers diverse educational and vocational programs aimed at equipping offenders for successful reintegration into society and reducing recidivism. Through these initiatives, inmates gain skills and confidence, fostering personal growth and resilience.
The DuQuoin Impact Incarceration Program stands as a unique and intensive approach to rehabilitation within the Illinois Department of Corrections. This short-term, paramilitary-style program accommodates up to 200 offenders and operates as a boot camp, offering eligible individuals the opportunity to reduce their sentences through successful completion of program requirements. Approved by the sentencing court and accepted by the department, participants who fulfill the rigorous demands of the program may see their sentences reduced to time served, typically between 120 to 180 active days, followed by a term of mandatory supervised release.
Situated on eight acres of land, the DuQuoin IIP facility comprises four essential buildings: Administration, Multi-Purpose, Dormitory, and Maintenance. Emphasizing physical fitness and discipline, the center features a one-third-mile running track and a spacious 14,000-square-foot outdoor exercise area. Within this structured environment, participants engage in a range of vocational, clinical, and community service activities aimed at fostering personal growth and rehabilitation.
Vocational training plays a crucial role in preparing participants for successful reintegration into society upon completion of their sentences. The program offers instruction in welding and horticulture, equipping individuals with valuable skills and vocational certifications that enhance their employability and prospects for a brighter future. Additionally, participants have access to a variety of clinical services, including cognitive-behavioral therapy sessions such as Thinking 4 a Change and Criminal and Addictive Thinking, along with substance abuse therapy and anger management programs.
Volunteer services, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, worship services, and religious studies, provide participants with opportunities for spiritual growth and community support. Moreover, the program emphasizes the importance of community engagement and responsibility through its community service initiatives, allowing participants with outside clearance to participate in various work assignments throughout the community. Through its comprehensive approach to rehabilitation, the Du Quoin Impact Incarceration Program strives to instill positive behavioral changes, foster personal responsibility, and facilitate successful reentry into society for its participants.
DuQuoin IIP maintains a database of current inmates and their locations within the system. To locate an inmate, begin by using the DOC locator tool, which requires entering the first three letters of the inmate's first and last name, allowing for variations in spelling.
If unable to locate the desired information through free resources, users may opt to use the Arrest Record Search, which requires payment. While this option incurs a small fee, it provides access to the most up-to-date data available.

On the first visit to any correctional facility, the visitors will be required to have photo identification, such as a driver's license, a state identification card, or acceptable documentation of non-US citizen including a current passport, visa, or Matricula, and documentation that includes their date of birth.
To visit the DuQuoin Structured Impact Program, you must sign up in advance.
Visits are only allowed after the DQSIP individual in custody has completed the initial 30 days.
Visiting times are daily from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visiting times are from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Weekends and Holidays.
Visitors must arrive 15 minutes before their pre-approved visit time. Due to limited seating visits are restricted to 3 adults per visit.
Video Visits
Video Visitation hours are Sunday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visitors should log on 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
