The Peoria Adult Transition Center (ATC) is committed to providing supervision, reintegration programs, and services to residents in custody, aiming to enhance their self-sufficiency and promote lawful citizenship upon release. Housed within a single downtown building covering approximately 48,000 square feet, the facility offers dorm-style accommodations with 6 to 12 residents per room, totaling 249 beds. Conveniently located on a bus route near various amenities such as restaurants, the Civic Center, and hotels, Peoria ATC residents have access to employment opportunities in the surrounding area, facilitating their successful transition into society.

Inmate programs at Peoria ATC encompass academic and vocational education, with offerings including General Education Development (GED) programs and college education opportunities available in the community. Vocational training in culinary arts is also provided. Additionally, the facility offers support services such as Alcoholics Anonymous, marriage counseling, parenting classes, life skills development, anger management, and counseling to address the diverse needs of residents and aid in their rehabilitation and reintegration efforts.

Video Visitation

Video visitation hours are Sunday through Saturday 9:00a to 8:00p. All visits must begin prior to 6:00 p. Visitors should log on 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
