These structures include housing units, administration, health care, receiving, segregation, dietary, a warehouse, a maintenance complex, a multi-purpose building with academic and vocational facilities, and a meat processing plant. The center offers diverse inmate programs, ranging from academic initiatives like Adult Basic Education (ABE) to vocational training in automotive technology, construction occupations, and horticulture. Industries within the center include meat processing. In addition, the facility provides volunteer services, substance abuse education, anger management, and various recreational activities, emphasizing a holistic approach to rehabilitation. The inclusion of chaplaincy, library services, community work crews, and individual counseling further supports the comprehensive inmate programs at Western Illinois Correctional Center. Western Illinois Correctional Center is also the parent institution of the Clayton Work Camp

Video visitation hours are Sunday through Saturday 9:00a to 12:30p and 2:00p to 5:30p. Visitors should log on 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
