The Lycoming County PA Prison, situated at 277 W 3rd St in Williamsport, PA, serves as a medium/low-security detention center operated by the Lycoming County Sheriff's Office. This facility primarily houses inmates awaiting trial or sentencing, with most sentenced individuals staying for less than two years. It accepts inmates from various jurisdictions, including surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service, and the Williamsport Police Department.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records here.

Inmates who serve as trustees work within the jail, performing tasks such as cooking, serving as staff orderlies, working in laundry facilities, or managing the commissary. These trustees receive minimal compensation for their work, with some facilities offering a reduction in sentence duration in exchange for their services.

The jail provides a phone program allowing outbound calls only, and inmates cannot receive incoming calls. However, accepting collect calls can be costly, with fees exceeding $15 per call. Alternatively, individuals can set up an account through a third-party phone company, although this may entail steep fees per minute of usage. You are paying for them to call you. If you are going to speak often, click this link for discounts on their calls. It's essential to note that all phone calls are recorded, and conversations can potentially be used against both the caller and the inmate. Therefore, discussing sensitive matters related to legal cases over these phone lines is discouraged.

Inmate Locator

Lycoming County PA Prison publishes the names of the inmates currently in their facility in Pennsylvania. Your search should start with this locator first to see if your loved one is there.

The second box is the InmateAid Inmate Search. This database of inmates is user-generated content to access and utilize any or all of the InmateAid services. If you need our assistance creating your inmate profile to keep in touch, email us at aid@inmateaid.com and we will assist you in locating your inmate.

As a last resort, you might have to pay for that information if we do not have it. The Arrest Record Search will cost you a small amount, but their data is the freshest available and for that reason, they charge to access it.
