The Mayes County OK Jail is a low/medium-security detention center located at 34 North Adair St Pryor, OK which is operated locally by the Mayes County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. The Detention Facility of the Mayes County Sheriff's Office operates the county jail facility which is under the direct supervision on the Jail Administrator Mitch Goodman.

The men and women that are hired to work at the facility are charged with the duties of providing security to the facility also guarding and monitoring the male and female inmates currently detained at the Mayes County Jail.

The detention facility officers are charged with maintaining a safe and secure environment while preventing physical confrontations among inmates, inmate escapes, and operating the detention facility in compliance with the rules and regulations mandated by state and federal laws.
