The Multi-County Juvenile Attention System (MCJAS) is a pioneering regional juvenile justice organization overseeing three attention centers, a group home, and the Community Corrections Facility. MCJAS operates with the primary objective of treating juvenile offenders and their families within a community setting, aiming to diminish the likelihood of youth re-entering the criminal justice system. At the core of MCJAS's philosophy lies the belief that each young person is an individual deserving of respect and unique treatment.

The Stark Attention Center, a 30-bed locked facility, caters to male youth under 19 years old. While designed for 30 youths, overcrowding or safety concerns occasionally necessitate transfers to other centers. The primary mission is to provide temporary custody in compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, with length determined by Juvenile Courts.

A core aspect is the Responsible Behavior Program, featuring five progressive levels. Youths advance through pro-social behavior, gaining privileges while facing consequences for violations. The program fosters direction, highlighting individual strengths.

Educationally, Canton Local Schools offer a rigorous program, often leading to greater success than traditional settings. Personalized attention and dedicated teachers cater to each youth's needs, prioritizing reading and providing art classes.

Serve Safe Cooks prepare daily meals, and a full-time Nurse oversees medical needs. Faith Family Church hosts non-denominational services, complemented by a dedicated volunteer program emphasizing nurturing and forgiveness.

Family visitation is encouraged, recognizing its significance in youths' transition. Virtual visits via Zoom Sessions are also available. The committed staff remains dedicated to the ongoing support and growth of all youths.
