The inmates housed at Warren CI located at 379 Collins Rd in Manson, NC are placed according to their custody level (determined by a number of factors including the past criminal history and the length of their sentence). There are ample educational and vocational training programs for all inmates, especially ones that show a willingness to learn new things that will prepare them for a better life when they are released. The mission is to promote and prepare the offender to leave in better shape than when they arrived, giving them the best chance to never come back and thus lower the state's recidivism rate.

Warren Correctional Institution is a multi-custody prison housing male inmate in medium, minimum and PCON custody. The largest inmate population consists of medium custody inmates. We do house about 10 minimum custody inmates and 10 PCON inmates.

The opening of Warren Correctional Institution in 1997 permitted the consolidation of five smaller prisons in surrounding counties.

On August 18, 1997, the prison received its first medium custody inmates. The 168 single-cell building opened May 18, 1998. In August of 1999 the two modular dormitories opened, housing approximately 88 minimum custody inmates. Another 168 single-cell building was completed in August of 2004.

The janitorial products plant for Correction Enterprises, which produces soap and industrial cleaning products, was relocated to Warren from Harnett Correctional Institution in Lillington. The plant was constructed by inmates participating in the Inmate Construction Program, working under the supervision of engineers from the Central Engineering section.

Inmate Locator

NCDPS - Warren Correctional Institution is a facility in the North Carolina Department of Corrections. The DOC publishes the names of their current inmates and identifies which of their locations the inmate is being held. Your search should start with the first DOC locator to see if your loved one is there. Begin with the first three letters of the offender's first and last name, it does not have to be spelled exactly.

The second box is the InmateAid Inmate Search. This database of inmates is user-generated content for the purpose of accessing and utilizing any or all of the InmateAid services. If you need our assistance creating your own inmate profile to keep in touch, email us at aid@inmateaid.com and we will assist you in locating your inmate.

As a last resort, you might have to pay for that information if we do not have it. The Arrest Record Search will cost you a small amount, but their data is the freshest available and for that reason, they charge to access it.
