Talbot Hall is a state prison reentry treatment center for 536 adult males preparing to reenter the community as contributing citizens under the supervision of the New Jersey Department of Corrections located next to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. The Hall is a two-story brick building that dates back to the early 1900s when it served as the corporate headquarters for a subsidiary of U.S. Steel. After years of neglect and abandonment, its potential was recognized, and it was transformed into a residential reentry center.

Talbot Hall engages a modified therapeutic community approach to treatment. Residents entering Talbot Hall are directed to their peer community as a key component in their behavior change process. Residents who exhibit pro-social behavior within the peer structure are assigned greater levels of responsibility. Talbot Hall provides services seven days a week offering structure and flexibility to meet participant risks and needs.

Programs and services currently offered at Talbot Hall include, comprehensive assessments, individual and group counseling, substance abuse programming, life skills, educational services, family services, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), treatment readiness, problem-solving/self-regulation, interpersonal communication, employment skills, 12-Step meetings, alumni and aftercare programs, medical services, spiritual services, library and law library, indoor and outdoor recreation, and document assistance.
