Tippecanoe Co Jail - Visitation

Times and days are subject to change without notice

  • Monday 8:30 am - 4 pm
  • Wednesday 9 am - 6 pm
  • Thursday 9 am - 4 pm
  • Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • Saturday 10 am - 4:30 pm

General Visitation Information

Tippecanoe County Jail - Visitation

Inmate Visiting Policy - The Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office shall provide a visiting area for both inmate and visitor that allows visual and voice communication. No more than five (5) visits total, with a maximum of (3) visits in lobby are allowed in a week period. (Sunday through Saturday.) VISITING WILL NOT BE ALLOWED BETWEEN PERSONS WHO HAVE AN ACTIVE PROTECTIVE ORDER IN PLACE. All visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.

Video Visitation Lobby-The Visitor(s)

  1. Shall register either in the lobby of the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office at the provided KIOSK or go to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office webpage to register with complete and accurate information. Visitors found to be using false names or identification will result in suspension of privileges for up to one (1) year.
  2. May be denied visitation if they have prior criminal convictions, are on parole, or on community corrections.
  3. Shall acknowledge the rules and regulations and abide by the posted rules and regulations. You must agree to the rules and regulation before the visit will be granted. Failure to follow rules and regulations may result in suspension and / or termination of privileges of visiting. Your actions may result in suspension/termination of the inmate’s visitation privileges.
  4. Shall report 15 minutes prior to scheduled visit to the front desk.
  5. Shall not bring food or drink into the lobby.
  6. Juvenile visits only on the first Sunday of every month. Only one child may visit at a time under the supervision of a registered adult visitor. registered Adult will be required to show valid ID and will not be allowed to actively visit. The visit counts towards five total visits.
  7. Shall not use cell phones or any other electronic devices during the visitation session. Violation of this rule may result in suspension of visitation privileges for up to one (1) year.
  8. May not use rude or vulgar language/behavior.
  9. May not flash or show inappropriate body parts, masturbate or preform in a rude or lewd way
  10. Shall not wear articles that cover the face as to prevent identification of the visitor.
  11. Failure to report for scheduled visit will count as a visitation session for both the inmate and the visitor. If you are unable to attend you must go online and cancel the visit. If there is an emergency situation you can bring the confirmation of the emergency and speak with the Jail Commander or their designee. Each situation will be evaluated on the information provided.

Video Visitation-Internet Visitation

  1. Failure to follow rules and regulations may result in suspension and / or termination of privileges of visiting. Your actions may result in suspension/termination of the inmate’s visitation privileges.
  3. Shall not use cell phones or any other electronic devices during the visitation session. Violation of this rule will result in suspension of visitation privileges for up to one (1) year.
  4. When using cell phone as the visitation platform SHALL not take screenshots, record the visit or any other secondary use of the phone during the visit.
  5. Shall only allow one (1) adult and three (3) children or other combination with a max of four (4) registered visitors at a time. Only the person or persons registered may visit. No other individual may partake in the visit in any context.
  6. Shall not use rude or vulgar language/behavior.
  7. Shall not flash or show of body parts, masturbate or perform in a rude, vulgar or lewd act.
  8. Shall not wear articles that cover the face to prevent identification of the visitor.
  9. Failure to report for a scheduled visit will count as a visitation session for both the inmate and the visitor. If you are unable to attend you must go online and cancel the visit. If there is an emergency situation you can bring the confirmation of the emergency and speak with the Jail Commander or their designee. Each situation will be evaluated on the information provided
  10. Proper lighting must be utilized as to be able to see and identify the visitor and the surrounding. If the visitor cannot be seen the visit will be canceled.
  11. The Visitor shall not operate a vehicle while visiting.

The Inmate

  1. Shall not use rude or vulgar language during the visit session.
  2. Shall not allow any other inmate to participate, partake, talk to or communicate in any way to the visitor. Violations shall result in termination of the visit session.
  3. Shall be at the assigned kiosk at the time of the visit.
  4. If the inmate is on lockdown and/or reclassified to another unit prior to visit Session and the time in the new unit is already accounted for the session shall be terminated and the visitor will have to reschedule.
  5. Shall be responsible for notifying visitors or potential visitors if they are attending classes during specific times of the day. If a session is scheduled and the inmate chose to attend classes it will count as a session for the inmate and the visitor.
  6. Inmate is responsible for all actions of their visitor.
  7. Shall not interfere with any other inmate prior to or during their visit.
  8. May retrieve a notification of upcoming scheduled visits from the kiosk.
  9. Shall not ask the pod officer who the visitor is. If you do not want to visit them tell the visitor or do not attend the visit.

Onsite Video Visits (20 mins in length):

​First Sunday of every month are Juvenile Visits Only.​
