Yes. InmateAid can deliver letters and photos to any prison or jail in the United States from anywhere in the world including Iran. You do not need to be located in the United States to use the service. Everything is handled online from your phone or computer regardless of where you are sending from.

Your inmate can also write back to you through InmateAid's return letter service. They write a physical letter and send it to InmateAid's processing address. Once received we scan it and upload it to your account where you can read or print it without paying international postage rates which can be significant for mail traveling between the United States and other countries.

One important thing to understand about the letter delivery process. InmateAid does not have a tracking or confirmation system that tells you whether your specific letter has been received by your inmate. Once your letter is sent through our system and delivered to the facility via USPS we have no way to confirm when or whether it was handed to your inmate at mail call.

The most reliable way to know your letter was received is to hear from your inmate directly through a phone call or a letter back. If they mention receiving your letter you know the system worked. If significant time passes with no acknowledgment it may be worth sending another.

Delivery from InmateAid to the facility typically takes 2 to 3 business days via USPS. From there the mailroom screening process and mail call distribution add another day or two before your letter reaches your inmate's hands.
