Can you get a special visit outside schedule

Can i his Fiancée visit him on Saturday the 22nd of June 2013, even though he doesn't receive visits that day.  I'm coming from far away to visit. I did not know he couldn't receive visits on that date.

If your fiancé is not scheduled for visits on that specific day, you generally will not be allowed in under normal rules. However, many facilities do offer something called a special visit for situations like yours, especially when someone is traveling from far away.

A special visit must be approved in advance. Your fiancé will need to request it through:

  • His counselor
  • Unit manager
  • Or another designated staff member

Approval is not guaranteed, but it is often granted for legitimate reasons like long-distance travel, as long as it is not requested frequently.

It is very important to understand that you cannot just show up and ask at the front desk. Without prior approval, you will almost certainly be turned away.

The best step is to have your fiancé submit the request as soon as possible and confirm approval before you make the trip.
